A short poem exercise I sometimes use to get my brain working before writing. I pick a completely random subject, usually from the newspaper and write away. As you can tell, my subject today was about all the violence in the world.
One Last Chance.

These things are beginning to shock me,
These thoughts that reside in my head,
The truth that you all soon will see,
By the President it's sure to be said,
The thing we should all be aware of,
Is not a comet or alien attack,
Its the complete lack of love in the world,
And the last chance we have to turn back.
